What is it?

The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece is a simple device that claims to be an effective solution to snoring and could even be a treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). This mouthpiece is made of soft feel plastic that has been molded and shaped to fit your mouth.

According to the manufacturers, retailers and marketing materials of this product, the Snore Wizard doesn’t require any molding or shaping of any sort after purchase. Supposedly, the mouthpiece should be ready to use upon purchase.

How does it work?

It works the same way as every other snoring mouthpiece. It is placed inside the mouth and keeps the tongue from sliding back down to the the air passage during sleep. This is accomplished by pushing the lower jaw or the mandible forward. By pushing the mandible forward, the tongue is pulled away from the throat allowing the air ways open.

Not only that, the Snore Wizard has an opening to allow air to pass through it. What this does is that it allows the user of the product to breathe through his or her mouth during sleep without much obstruction as compared with other mouthpieces.

Does it really work?

Based on Allegro Medical’s released statement, which is included in their marketing materials, the product has a 94% success rate in terms of stopping and or reducing snoring. But these seem to be biased informations so we are looking and leaning towards independent and customer reviews and comments to really identify whether the mouthpiece really works.

There are hundreds if not thousands of independent reviews that could be seen and found regarding this product. A lot of people have used this and have shared their experiences regarding the use of the Snore Wizard Mouthpiece.

Love the Product :

Majority of the people who purchased this product are very satisfied with its performance. It delivered it’s claim and promise to stop or at the very least, reduce snoring of an individual with the help of the Snore Wizard. Not only do they claim that the product has treated their snoring but also claims that the symptoms related to Sleep Apnea have also been treated. This means that the mouthpiece is also effective in addressing these problems.

Not only that, the device also has other perks that goes along with its effectiveness. The product is easy to use since there are no more preparations needed upon purchase, and that its safe since it’s made of soft plastic.

There are consumers as well who were very pleased with the fact that the item is very easy to maintain. Since the material used is plastic, it is easy to clean. Simply washing it with water and soap may be enough to keep th snore wizard clean for use. Also, since the product is just a small item , it is easier to keep and store whenever not in use. It is also easy to take with you if you are going on trips and are planning to spend the night elsewhere.

Now, these were the comments of the majority of the users that have experienced using the product. They are very pleased with its performance are even recommending it to everyone. But, just like everything else in the world, the snore Wizard can’t please everybody. There are individuals who were not impressed by the product. What’s worse, some people are even irritated about it.

Hate the Product :

First of all, a lot of the the consumers who hate snore wizard are enraged by the fact that the product is just made of soft feel plastic. Most of them feel that they have been ripped off. The product’s price is almost $60.00, and these consumers feel that the molded plastic should be worth less than that.

The more interesting comment that these consumers have pointed out is that the product is non-refundable. Even if you haven’t opened the packaging yet, and have decided that you don’t want it, the company will already consider the product non-returnable. This is one of the many hate reviews you’ll find regarding the product.

Another review you’ll find is that to some users, the product is ineffective. Even when they are using the snore wizard, they are still snoring in their sleep. Again, these people find the product a rip off.

The most common concern of the consumers that have experienced using this (even those who love the product) is the way the mouthpiece chafe the gums. Because the mandible is rested on the plastic mouth piece, the lower gums are in contact with the plastic which irritates the soft flesh. What the manufacturers failed to consider here is that different people will have different bone and dental structures. You can’t have one shape design for a mouthpiece intended to be used by a huge number of people.

Even though it would be convenient for a product to be ready to use upon purchase, the manufacturers still should have considered giving the consumers an option to reshape the mouthpiece following the structure of their teeth.

Some people even claim that because the mouthpiece is uniform in shape, it acts like braces and reshapes the user’s teeth.

Another complaint that we encountered is the pain on the jaw users would feel during the first few weeks of using the product. The Snore Wizard could be a source of great discomfort because of the pushing of the jaw forward. When you wake up, you will feel soreness on the jaw which, to some is unbearable.

There are those that also complain about the dryness of the mouth and throat upon waking due to the use of the mouthpiece. But while some experience dryness of the throat, there are those who suffer from salivating excessively.

The most serious concern or comment that we encountered is about suffering from chest pains due to the Snore Wizard. The mouthpiece pulls the tongue forward but the rest of the muscles around the throat slides backward. The air passage through the mouth is blocked because of this. So what the body does is adjust and breathe through the nose. But the nasal passages contracts when sleeping so what happens is that the heart and the lungs suffer the most because the heart is force to pump faster.

These are just some of the comments and suggestions made by consumers who have experienced using the product. Based on these, we could deduce that over all, the Snore Wizard is an effective mouthpiece that would stop your snore that could even treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea. But if you are the type of person who is sensitive to chafing or has low tolerance for pain, this product or solution may not be the best for you. Also, if the muscles and the tissues surrounding your throat are relatively more fatty than average people, this may not be effective to you as well.

So with all these considerations and factors pointed out, you should be able to make a smart choice whether this product would be useful for you or not.
